Lysaght Supplier Configuration

Quotec's Lysaght Supplier Configuration has been developed to simplify the way Lysaght suppliers are managed within Quotec while providing more accurate pricing and freight calculations.

Rather than requiring users to manually select a supplying branch and calculate freight, the Supplier Configuration uses Quotec-managed pricing files together with Lysaght's freight and consolidation rules to automate the process.

The Supplier Configuration is designed to:

  • Allow Quotec Cost Batch updates for Lysaght Steel & Cladding and Lysaght Gliderol Roller Doors.

  • Automatically determine the correct Lysaght branch responsible for consolidating and dispatching an order.

  • Calculate freight using Lysaght's freight matrix based on the value of Lysaght materials included in the order.

  • Reduce manual supplier configuration and freight adjustments.

How the Supplier Configuration Works

Lysaght operates nine consolidation branches across Australia. These are the approved locations where shed materials are received, consolidated and dispatched to the final delivery destination.

The current consolidation branches are:

  • Adelaide

  • Archerfield

  • Cardiff

  • Darwin

  • Launceston

  • Melbourne

  • Perth

  • Rockhampton

  • Townsville

Within Quotec, these branches are managed through a single supplier record called Lysaght - Head Office.

Lysaght - Head Office is not a physical branch. It is a Quotec-managed supplier configuration that automatically applies Lysaght's business rules to each order.

Historically, users were required to manually select the Lysaght branch they wished to purchase from. Freight calculations relied on the user selecting the correct branch and manually applying the appropriate freight charges.

With the latest Supplier Configuration, this manual process is no longer required.

When Lysaght - Head Office is configured as the Default Supplier, Quotec automatically:

  • Determines which Lysaght consolidation branch will manage the order.

  • Calculates freight using Lysaght's freight matrix based on the value of the Lysaght materials included in the order.

  • Generates the Purchase Order against the appropriate Lysaght branch.

This provides a more consistent quoting experience while reducing manual configuration and freight adjustments.

Note: Oversized loads, special deliveries and remote locations may still incur additional freight charges determined by Lysaght.

Roller Doors

Anyone who has worked within the shed industry knows that roller doors are one of the most damage-prone products during transport.

Unlike structural steel, roller doors require specialised handling and packaging. Damage is often not identified until installation, making it difficult to determine where responsibility lies.

For this reason, many steel suppliers will only accept responsibility for transporting roller doors that have been purchased directly through them.

Lysaght follows this same approach.

Only Gliderol Roller Doors purchased through Lysaght are included in Lysaght's consolidation and delivery process.

This is why Quotec includes a dedicated Lysaght Gliderol supplier and price file as part of the Supplier Configuration.

If you choose to purchase roller doors from another supplier, you may continue to do so. However:

  • Those roller doors will not be included in Lysaght's consolidation process.

  • You will be responsible for arranging delivery to site.

  • You will also be responsible for managing any freight rules and pricing associated with your chosen roller door supplier.

Lysaght will not accept third-party roller doors for consolidation with steel deliveries.
